Hey guys, I'm back! Sorry for the sudden absence, things are still pretty rough IRL right now, but they're getting better so here I am c:
I sadly didn't work as much as I wanted during my small hiatus, but this is one of the things I've done!

Inspiration hit me to revamp an older species I never really did much with (some of you may remember I used to have a "Baroqueen" species in my species list, but never got around developing it other than having lace as theme), and so here we go!
This was the only personal things I've worked on in the past few weeks, it was pretty therapeutic <3 (I actually managed to come up with yet ANOTHER species -like I don't have enough lmfao- but that will have to be doodled later when I have more time)

Baroquerie comes from baroque (elaborate/fancy, often excessively so; also a term referring to pearls in spanish) and broderie (embroidery).
They are a closed species for the time being, meaning you can't create your own; you'd have to either get one from me, or get a MYO slot (through purchase, trade, raffles, contest/event prizes, etc.)
This was mainly done to make me feel better, so I basically mashed up things I like, as lace, butterflies, and aquatic creatures (I always thought butterflies and lace make a good combo, and since baroque stands also for pearl the aquatic part makes sense I guess xD) ; all of the features listed are mix-and-match, there are lots of possible combos!
I still need to come up with some lore for them, ahah c,:
