It honestly feels surreal typing this, but I guess all good things must come to an end.

Like many other artists here, it's my time to leave dA as well.

It's definitely a bittersweet decision, deviantArt has been my first true "digital home", where I made longlasting friendship, shared my art for the first time, and managed to reach my dream of sustaining myself with only art as my job. I have so many memories about this place.

But I come to realize that place doesn't exist anymore, dA now feels so empty, an echo of what it used to be. I took the hit and stayed here when Eclipse dropped despite hating it, but I see no point in staying here anymore.

The fun is gone, artists aren't really interacting anymore, and it's become an AI-plagued hellhole ---I've tried to look at dA's main page more frequently in the past couple weeks, to see if I could find some new artists to follow, but 80% of posts are AI "art", it's awful...

I think the realization came when yesterday I got locked out of my account with no way to retrieve my password (it always led to a 404 page), and I was scared I had been hacked; my first thought went to stash, my only fear was to have lost all the files I'm keeping there, but there wasn't the same fear about my account itself. So it's time to slowly clear out my stash, and say goodbye.

My account will still be up, and I will come and check things from time to time, but it will be purely for business; so truth to be told, nothing much will change as it's what I've been doing for the past couple years, but I'll stop pretending I have plans to come back to post art here or interact with people ---I won't.

There were so many great ideas it was really, really hard picking just a few, so I ended up opening a second round of commissions, to be worked on right after the first round! You can drop off your order at any time before I start the sketch, so no worries ^^

It's been something like an year since I've had a public commission opening, woah!

And since this month my Patreon is paused (due to health/family issues mentioned in the last journal and in my Patreon profile+discord), guess there's no time like the present to have a long overdue opening up! Still gotta pay the bills afterall, ahah x,D

(also reminder that I take commission slots monthly on my Patreon! Right now it's paused, but am still active posting art and wips for the $1-3 tiers in the patreon discord server! ♥)

I will be opening for around 4-6 slots, depending on complexity of orders.

Because of my current health, they are not first come first serve, but artist's choice! Meaning I will be picking the orders I feel more confident and comfortable doing (since I'm sure I could do them fairly quickly).

These commissions shouldn't take more than a couple weeks to get all completed! ^^

Hey guys! My deepest apologies for my current inactivity, things haven't been super well IRL (close family got COVID, family/economical drama, depression hitting harder than ever, my own sickness ---I just got home yesterday from some out of town medical check ups) so I detached myself more from social media and had a hard time working/drawing. Especially due to my own sickness I couldn't stay much in front of the computer in general, still can't very much but I'm doing much better thankfully, so I should be back on track with work soon!

My apologies to those who had certain ETAs, I wasn't able to meet them but I'll do my best to get all the owed stuff done asap.

Due to me not being online I've also neglected my galleries and inbox, so I'll be posting some works starting today to get some dust off my accounts ---very sorry for the spam guys! I also will do my best to get back to everyone who contacted me, sorry again for all the delays. I'm just so low in energy, and feel a bit overwhelmed (plus not 100% physically well yet, and my medical results will come in only next week), so things will probably be still slow for a while.

(Also, as my tagline says, I've been generally more inactive here on dA, and using this account mainly for sales...but I'll try to post more "regular" art as well if anyone's interested! I hate to see my gallery just full of bases and adopts orz;;; )

I still haven't updated all of my bases there, but I hope that within a week I'll have everything up! I won't accept anymore purchases through dA/FA comments, unless you're purchasing for a friend, or if it's a NSFW base that I can't sell on Ko-Fi (the only one atm is the Latex base, but I don't think I'll make many more nsfw-ish bases x,D)

I'll also look into making my bases available for points purchase (like, direct purchase through dA's system, not like I've been doing 'til now), but since dA takes a huge 20% cut and takes 2 weeks to process payments on top of it, points pricing will be higher, hope you understand ;w;

Hello everyone... you may have read my previous update (  https://www.patreon.com/posts/39481199  ) regarding a disaster with OneDrive, and the subsequent loss of all of my working files. My last update was I was bringing my laptop to a technician to get some professional help.

All useless. The files are forever gone.

I know this is gonna be a long read, but please bear with me, especially if you're a commissioner or patron; it's extremely important.

(I'm also linking a couple corrupted files at the end, in the hope someone can miraculously fix them)

The files I've lost are all .sai and .psd, including commissions, hundreds of concepts for future preposes and adopts, lots of fanart (including scenes from personal rps dear to me),  tons of personal art and designs, all of my comic work, and even bases I had purchased from other artists. A total of 1000+ files.

The final images (.jpg and .png) are safe as far I can tell, at exception of those saved within the last 24-48h from the accident. (edit: nope...it seems I have lost half them too...yay c,: )

The P2U bases I've released so far are also safe, as they are on Dropbox (personal bases like the Baroquerie or Seraphic Bunny bases, however, are not).

So...given the situation, this is the plan: please allow me a few days to cope with this and organize myself. I know there are people out there dealing with worse losses, like all of their belongings in house fires or natural disasters (I've lost my father last year. I know how it feels a real loss.), but please understand I still need this. It's the work of almost a decade I've lost, and I know that due to my memory issues most of it is 100% gone and I'll never recover some designs or ideas.

In these days, I'll also save any WIP that may be around I have, be it from my Patreon or shared with friends...hopefully I'll recover some sketches/ideas that way. It'll be probably just a few, but better than nothing...

Afterwards, I'm probably going to post an art slave auction, starting this Friday and ending on Sunday, to be an art slave for a week (the entirety of next week; SB is going to probs be €400-500). That way I can work on something fresh to keep my mind off, and get some much needed cash to cover the refunds I'll have to give.

Speaking of refunds...to my commissioners: I'll 100% have to refund anyone who had a commission in progress with me (unless a sketch WIP can be found, and the progress was no more than the sketch itself). No exceptions. I'm sorry, but if I had already started lining/coloring your commission, I don't have the mental and physical energy to start it all over...I'd really rather just refund you. I'm so sorry. Right off the top of my head, commissioners I'm sure will have to be refunded are Cici88, TialaSakura/Leafestia, and DragonLordT. There'll be definitely more, but I need to check my list, and if any wips are salvageable first.

For those who are waiting on YCHs: they'll be most likely be completed, even if it'll take much longer. I still have the old sale previews in my galleries, so I can save them and trace over them to get the YCH bases back. In case I'm unable, you'll be refunded.

To those with which I had agreed to art trade in the recent journal: if you're still up for it, I still am! I honestly need something less stressful to work on after this, and getting some pretty art in return will heal my heart a bit ♥

About my comic, Moon's Other Side: it's officially discontinued until further notice. I have lost all of my files about it, including the storyboards of chapters 2 and 3, and lots of character designs, concepts and doodles. I feel very depressed just thinking about it, so it'll be discontinued until I have the energy to start all over with it.

Last but not least, to my $20+ patrons: I had mentioned in a recent update (  https://www.patreon.com/posts/please-read-may-39354751 ) I was probably going to delete the $20/27/50 tiers at the end of August, so that in September there'd be no more art reward tiers. I'm truly sorry for the little notice, but given the current situation I'm going to delete the tiers at the end of this month instead, so that those tiers WON'T be active anymore in August. I just can't handle them right now, I'm sorry....

Please do unpledge or downpledge before August, or you'll be charged for a non-existent tier! ;w; However, for $3+ patrons I'll open exclusive patron-only commissions every month at least (and every week at most), slightly discounted from regular prices, so you'll still be able to snag art every month if you wish!

If you had chosen to stack this month, you can choose to either change idea and claim right now your monthly art, or you can pay the difference ($20 or $50) through Paypal to get the same reward as a stacked one!

And...I think that's all about the announcements I had to give to the public. I'm still keeping the corrupted .sai and .psd files around, in case the can magically be restored some day, so...if anyone wants to tinker with them, feel absolutely free to. I'll be forever in your debt if you manage to save them ;w; (even if they're wonky/glitchy, as long as the art is recognizable it would save a lot of my ideas/sketches...)
